Material needed: Cardboard, Yarn thread, Party Ribbon (Optional), Different materials like stick, cloth pieces, popsicles, cardboard pieces, Paper pieces, Pipe cleaners.

        • Take a cardboard and poke a hole on each side.
        • Wrap up the yarn between the holes.
        • Provide the different materials and ask the kid to insert it.
        • First, start with a rigid material, so they get the confidence of completing the work.

Activity Name :Threading

Benefits: Fine Motor Development, Concentration

Required age: After 34 months.

Material needed: Crochet needle (It has blunt tip and not a sharp one) , Flowers ,leaves , small beads, paper.

          • Draw some shapes and ask the kid to poke a hole on the drawn shapes.

        • It develops the concentration and fine motor skills.

      • Provide thread, needle, and some flower petals.
      • Ask the kid to do the threading work.
      • It develops the strength and balance in both hands. Since it needs coordination of both hands.

    • Provide small beads, needle and yarn .
    • Let the kid so some threading work.
    • Perfect for developing concentration , fine motor skills.

  • Benefits: Gross Motor Development, Develops thinking ability
  • Required age: After 34 months.
    Material needed: Any readily available material at home.

 

  • Take some known materials.
  • Keep them at various places around the house.
  • Give some hint as” Amma kept the purse in the place where we cook,” car is in the place where we take a bath.”
  • Kids have to identify the place and get the item.
  • It’s a fun-filled, no preparation game.
