I am from India and feel the same whenever I hear or look into my country’s name.  As India celebrates Independence Day, I want to share some information about our beautiful country.          India got independence on August 15th, 1947, and this year 2023 we are going to celebrate our 77th Independence Day.

         It is the term that states being free as We are not in the control of anyone or any country. No one can control or rule us. We can do our work freely without being dictated to or forced by anyone else. 

  • Why do we need Independence? 

      We need independence to “Be ourselves”  and do our work peacefully without intervention.

    Dr.Rajendra Prasad was the first president of India from 1950 to 1962.

      Jawaharlal Nehru was the first prime minister from 1947 to 1964 until his death.

       India gained Independence from the British.

  • Why did Britishers come to India? 

      Britishers entered India to trade and established the English East India Company.

  • When did the Britishers come to India? 

    Britishers came to India in 1608 for trading purposes.
